Meet the Team

SK + Cee was founded by two professional artists and lifelong creatives, Sarah Kirby and Cecilia Cawthorpe. What began as a shared love of art, people, and celebrations has grown into one of Western Canada's premier live watercolor portrait teams. Together, we've painted over a thousand guests at weddings, corporate events, galas, holiday parties, and celebrations of all kinds.

Sarah is a professional live wedding painter known for her romantic, highly detailed oil paintings created at luxury weddings across Alberta. ​Cecilia is an illustrator and artist known for her charming portrait work and creative spirit. When she's not painting at events, you'll often find her at local markets selling her handmade crocheted creations and connecting with fellow creatives.
 

Our passion for capturing meaningful moments inspired the guest portrait experience that has become the heart of SK + Cee. Together, we've developed a signature style that is elegant, fashion-inspired, and designed to make every guest feel like the best version of themselves. We believe portraits should be flattering, joyful, and worthy of a place on your wall long after the celebration is over.

As our business has grown, so has our team. For larger events, we work alongside a carefully selected group of professional artists who have been personally trained in the SK + Cee style. This allows us to accommodate everything from intimate weddings to celebrations with hundreds of guests while maintaining the cohesive, high-fashion look we're known for.

And of course, no event would be complete without our beloved assistant, Michelle. She is the friendly face that keeps everything running smoothly. She greets guests, helps them feel comfortable, answers questions, manages portrait pickup, and makes sure every painting is carefully packaged and ready to take home. Her warm personality and ability to make everyone feel welcome have made her a favorite at events.
